Doing inner work is a very visual process for me. This painting is an experience of the melting away of an object relation that followed some deep work on the structure. The understanding brought about the dissolving.

For me, art is about expressing what's true in me. The process to express that truth nurtures the very quality within me, whatever it is. Like, painting the jaggedness in the flow (below) was part of how I came to realize and understand--in this very experiential way--that life includes everything, it doesn't exclude anything--that even the jagged stress of getting three kids on the bus on some school mornings is part of the flow. Realizing this helps me to live through rough times as graciously as I can.
